The food of paradise by Ibn Amjed

My reflection about the story of The Food Of Paradise, I was feel funny ,because some parts of a story was so funny . Mullah was the main character of the story he was a teacher before and because he was tired and he got a lower salary he decided to stopped teaching. He goes in City of Baghdad  wherein near at the river , even though he was lazy he always trust Allah his God. He knows that Allah never leave him.

Everyday he always saw a food floating at the river. One day he saw a hermit and told him about a princess live in a palace .He was curious because of the food he always saw at the river when he passed at the palace  he saw a girl throwing something at the river . So because of his curiosity he want to find out what that thing is. When he saw that things, nearly he found out that was the food that he was eaten. And he don't even know that was a balwa were the Princess used when she was taking a bath.  Because of the laziness of Mullah, he became hopeful for things he need in his life, he became irresponsible and worthless but then  because he really believed  in Allah he know that no matter what happened  Allah will always with him.

Never be hopeless  because in every problems the GOD  is always be with you believe in him and he will never leave you.

The cock by Tao kim Hai

THE COCK by Tao Kim Hai (full story)

"The Cock" is a story by Tao Kim Hai. The summary of this story is about a woman from a rich family marrying a man from a very poor family, and how the cock, an old rooster, played a part in their lives as well as the lives of others through superstition.

One of the most stand out quality in the plot that gives a hint of realism in the fact that the author have made use of superstitious belief that is known in Vietnam, although the belief was proven to be just a hoax, still impression is still there that people make meaning of the different occurrences in the natural world. The reality of the discrimination that exist between the social classes that even present today ,that a person of a high stature is forbidden to develop a relationship with that of a low class class citizen.
In my own opinion, it is possible that the author has seen this kind of events in the course of his life although I doubt if it was really him who experience such a societal disadvantage,he is after all, a person titled with honour achievements.
The main problems encountered by the two main character in there relationships are that the affair that once a secret was revealed just because of the cock and the judgement of the community against them.

The home coming by Lin Huai-min

    Home coming

How far do we really go, just to erase the traces of our ethnicity in order to fit in,to the other country?
Do you have any idea why other people left our mother country and they chose to leave other countries?

It is not bad in migrants because other people continue their studies, works and what their dreams to fulfil in other places, there they can adapt another culture and tradition,we don't need to forget our own culture and traditions just to fit in,it is in you if you really love your own country even if how many years you could come back you will never forget it.

The mole byYasunari Kawabata

“The Mole”

Is an undated letter written by Sayoko to her husband of some years. She tells him about a dream that she has had. The night before, during a visit to her mother’s home, Sayoko reports that she dreamed of the mole located high on the upper right side of her back, near her shoulder. Through her reflections on her marriage and life and her account of her dream about her mole, Sayoko reveals both her past and present. She knows that her husband will know about the mole about which she has dreamed because it has been the focus of dissension between them from the earliest days of their marriage. When she lay in bed, her left arm across her chest, playing with the mole, her husband scolded her. It was a bad habit. The mole would grow larger. She should have it removed.
Sayoko’s letter tells her husband of the shame she felt when he first began scolding. Even more important, she says that she first became faintly conscious of the oppression of her marriage; her lack of privacy, her lack of refuge, her total vulnerability to his control. Although she then tried to dismiss his attention to her habit of playing with the mole as inconsequential, now that she has been away from him for many years, she sees its importance.

Thinking through her life as she writes, Sayoko tells her husband the history of her relation to her mole—a history that is also the story of her own inner life. As a child she began to play with the mole, perhaps because her mother and sisters had noticed it—perhaps even finding it charming—and drew her attention to it. She remembers, however, that her mother also scolded her during puberty...

I've learned that when you love your wife or husband although she or he have a hobbies that is really a unique one, you should accept her/him for the name of love .

Oh..oh..oh.. by Idrus

I am the country that first
invades you but influence you.
Idrus
Idrus was an Indonesian author best known for his realistic short stories and novels.

         oh....oh....oh..!

Sukabumi is known for its cool climate, but the people lined up for the ticketing window, but sadly, it was closed due to dying heat. The people was sweating hard while they wait for the ticket window to open. at the line, a young man was constantly coughing and spitting , The man behind him asked;” Why are you coughing? Its not dusty here.” while the young man replied, “I cough even in the cleanest room. I’ve just come from Pat-jet. I want to go to Jakarta.”
The man behind him pulled out his handkerchief and said, “If your sick, don’t spit on the floor, you know its contagious” the young man cough again but this time he cough a thick milk that has a red spot on it shaped like a Japanese flag. The ticket window wasn't open yet for the fourth class travellers, but when a Chinese man came along, He said, “ I have a pass from the Japanese authorities” The ticket window opened for him and he said “One second class ticket to Jakarta”. Inside the train, the Chinese smiled at a Eurasian girl seating arose the second class, While the ticket collector was collecting their tickets through the fourth class, the people there gave only their money , so the ticket collector immediately put the money in his pocket.
the train came to a stop at a tiny station. Several young men got on the train, Only from the caps could they be recognized as KEIBODANS, the occupation auxiliary police. they search the passengers for rice and lowered it to the platform, people who are transporting the rice were beaten, even the women.
Just as the train was laving, an Arab climbed on. looking at the packed in the crowd and said, “Masha Allah-as God wills!” behind him was a young man with a limp, he hanged into the handrails, he arab asked if he could hold on much longer and the man said no one will give him alms in the fourth class, maybe someone will get off the next station.
Near Bogor the train was racing over the rails. suddenly, the cripple hanging into the handrails fell off and died, the train didn't mind the person who fell and leaved the body behind. the arab who saw it uttered, “Astaghafir Allah” all over and over again. The train stopped again at a tiny station, a conductor got off and hurried into a small house. the conductor got a ten percent commission from a hundred fifty genuine Koh-I-noor sold. afterward, the people are looking for the policeman who is carrying a bag of rice, but suddenly the policeman disappeared.

I'd feel pity to the passengers  I'd read in  the story of Oh... oh..oh.. when the cruelty of the Japanese policemen, they get the bag of rice from the passengers they beat the other passengers if they disagreed.
Japan ranks among the least corrupt in the world
When I had finished read this short story, I realised that not only in our country having a corruption it is also exist in other country like Japan. Like here in the Philippines the corruption in our country is spreading right now even in the small store.
A changing nation ,changing worse ,bribery, and corruption.

Mahamaya

                                           Mahamaya

The story of Mahamaya covers the three subject and themes (societal norms, mythology, and romance). The reflection of the societal norms in the story is when Mahamaya was cremated alive, after her marriage to a dying Brahmin, who later died, living her already a widow the next day.

It is in the Indian culture that the widow should be cremated alive on her husband’s funeral, made the two apart but was again reunited, fulfilling Mahamaya’s promise to Rajib. However, their being together was broken when Rajib's promise to Mahamaya  that he will never remove the vail, but he broke his promise  making Mahamaya decided to leave immediately.

Poor or  rich status before and now  is the main problem in the real life , once your nothing not enough money you will treated as  nothing.
